Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
This policy explains how Awakened Systems Group collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through this website, business inquiries, our demonstration phone line, and services we operate for clients.
1. Who we are
Awakened Systems Group is operated by Shawn Garland in Maine. In this policy, “ASG,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Awakened Systems Group.
Pine State Home Services is a demonstration phone experience operated by ASG. It is not a separate home services company.
2. When this policy applies
This policy applies when we decide why and how personal information is handled, including on this website, when you contact us, and when you call or text an ASG demonstration line.
When ASG processes information for a business client through that client's AI front desk or other system, the client generally decides why the information is processed. In that situation, ASG acts as a service provider for the client. The client's privacy notice applies to its customers and callers, and privacy requests should normally be directed to that client. We will help the client respond as required.
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and business information: name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and the contents of your message.
- Call and text information: phone number, date and time, duration, call routing data, text messages, consent and opt-out records, and delivery status.
- Conversation and service-request information: recordings when enabled, transcripts, summaries, names, service locations, requested work, scheduling preferences, and other details a caller chooses to provide.
- Client and project information: service configurations, business rules, authorized integration data, support history, invoices, and records needed to deliver and support contracted services.
- Website technical information: IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, and date and time. Our hosting and security providers may collect this information automatically in server logs.
4. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, from a business client on whose behalf we operate a service, from integrations authorized by that client, and automatically through providers that deliver and secure the website and communications systems.
5. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
- answer, route, summarize, and follow up on calls and service requests;
- schedule appointments and send requested confirmations or reminders;
- configure, operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve client systems;
- maintain consent, opt-out, transaction, billing, and support records;
- detect misuse, protect our systems, and comply with legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use call content or mobile opt-in data for third-party advertising.
6. AI processing
Our services may use automated speech recognition, language models, voice synthesis, and related tools to understand a caller, generate a response, prepare a summary, and complete an authorized workflow. AI output can be wrong. Business clients remain responsible for reviewing important information and for deciding when a person must take over.
Please do not provide Social Security numbers, payment card details, account passwords, medical information, or other highly sensitive information through the demonstration line or ordinary email.
7. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably needed to:
- the relevant business client so it can respond to a caller or service request;
- service providers that support hosting, security, telephony, SMS, transcription, voice synthesis, AI processing, databases, storage, scheduling, billing, and support;
- professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors under appropriate duties of confidentiality;
- authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, or users; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Our website is hosted through Cloudflare. Our communications stack may use Telnyx and providers for transcription, voice, AI processing, storage, and scheduling. Providers may change as we update a system. They may process information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by their own agreements and applicable law.
8. No sale or advertising use
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising on this website.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared with anyone.
9. Text messaging
We send one-to-one service texts, such as request confirmations, appointment reminders, callback notices, and replies, only in connection with a request or consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. An opt-out applies to the number and messaging program identified in the text. We keep opt-out records so the request can be honored.
10. Cookies and website analytics
This website does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics scripts. Our hosting and security provider may use essential technologies and server logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
11. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, our client instructions, security, dispute resolution, and legal or accounting requirements. Retention for client call recordings and transcripts is configured for the applicable service. Some records, including consent and opt-out records, may be retained longer as evidence of compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably practical.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information we control. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. We will honor requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity or authority. Some information may be retained when legally permitted, including records needed for security, billing, legal claims, or honoring an opt-out.
Email shawn@awknd.me with the subject “Privacy Request,” or call (207) 503-7703. If we deny a request, you may reply with the subject “Privacy Appeal” and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
14. Children
The website and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date shows when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated through the relevant service.
